VOLUNTEER WITH UCAN

Volunteers Needed for Collaborative Agricultural Project with Urban Community AgriNomics (UCAN)! Trained volunteers with the Eno River Association will be helping to cut trees and prepare 2.2 acres of land at the Catawba Trail Farm for sustainable agriculture this spring! Before that can happen, we need your help as a “swamper”: moving the lumber from these trees, which will be re-used as firewood, mulch for plantings, or lumber for a local sawmill. If you’d like to sign up as a swamper or learn more about Urban Community AgriNomics (UCAN) and Catawba Trail Form, check out the link below!

Before volunteering with us, please take time to review our Safety Handbook.

Join us at UCAN to make a meaningful impact in our community! Our volunteers play a key role in cultivating sustainable gardens, supporting food security, and connecting people with nature. Whether you’re planting, harvesting, or helping at events, your time and energy help us build a healthier, stronger community. Sign up today to learn, grow, and make a difference with us!
