Upcoming Events with UCAN
Stay connected with the land, community, and here with Urban Community AgriNomics at the Catawba Trail Farm.
Check out what we have coming up!
Partnering with Farmer Foodshare and the Carolina Farm Stewardship Association, UCAN proudly hosts monthly food distributions at the Catawba Trail Farm. Every month community members are welcome to join us at the farm to receive their complimentary box of North Carolina grown produce.
We’re excited to share the lineup for our Gardeners as Teachers Program at the Catawba Trail Farm! With Project Manager Khayla Deans leading the way, this workshop series will feature a wonderful group of teachers and topics—all centered around the medicinal uses of plants and herbs while building community and connection.

UCAN Youth Summer Crew
This summer, UCAN is launching our Youth Summer Crew, a hands-on program designed to engage young people in meaningful conservation and land stewardship work at the Catawba Trail Farm.
The crew includes 6 youth members, 1 Youth Crew Leader, and 1 UCAN staff member (Lauren Robertson, UCAN Farm Manager), working together to:
• Prepare the site for boardwalk construction and agricultural development
• Implement ADA-compliant infrastructure
• Build workforce readiness and environmental stewardship skills
